West Coast Regional Council held its inaugural meeting today during which councillors were sworn in.

Greymouth constituency representative Colin Smith was elected chair with Buller representative Mark McIntyre as deputy chair.

The council for the 2025-2028 triennium is:

Chris Coll, Buller Constituency

Mark McIntyre, Buller constituency

Alan Birchfield, Grey Constituency

Peter Ewen, Grey Constituency

Colin Smith, Grey Constituency*

Ashley Cassin, Westland Constituency*

Andy Campbell, Westland Constituency
