Naenae Measles Vaccination On 8 November 2025

Lower Hutt, Wellington — This Saturday, 8 November 2025, InformationNZ will host a family-focused measles vaccination clinic at Te Mako Community Centre in Naenae, in proud partnership with HealthNZ’s National Pacific Public Health team and ConnexNZ. Running from 9am to 12pm, the event offers free vaccinations and fun activities in a safe, welcoming space designed by and for the community.

With measles still in the community, this initiative brings together trusted messengers, clinical expertise, and cultural leadership to protect families and uplift collective wellbeing. The clinic supports the government’s efforts to eliminate measles in Aotearoa by increasing access, confidence, and vaccination uptake across Pacific, Maori, and wider communities.

“We’re mobilising our strength and grassroots connection to inform communities about the benefits of vaccination and support them to get their measles vaccination and stay protected — by standing up community measles clinics — alongside the clinical leadership of HealthNZ’s National Public Health team,” says Muliagatele Bella Bartley, CEO of InformationNZ.

What to expect:

No appointments are needed. Walk-ins are welcome.

InformationNZ acknowledges the families, individuals, Pacific, Māori, and wider communities who are taking action to get vaccinated and protect against measles — showing leadership, unity, and care for collective wellbeing.

"This clinic also marks the conclusion of the Measles Vaccination Week (3–7 November 2025), reinforcing our collective commitment to eliminating measles across Aotearoa."
