Hamilton City Council Brings Conversations To The Community |
||
Hamilton City Council is taking conversations out into neighbourhoods this April, with councillors hosting informal drop‑in sessions at libraries and community centres across the city.
Council in the Community is a citywide initiative led by Senior Councillor Angela O’Leary in her role as Governor’s Operational Lead, giving Hamiltonians the opportunity to meet their local councillors, ask questions and share feedback in familiar local places.
O’Leary said the informal format was intentional. “These sessions are about listening. There are no presentations or speeches. People can drop in for a quick chat or stay longer if they wish. This is a chance to talk directly with the people elected to represent you, and to help inform Long-Term Plan decisions.”
The sessions will also offer a chance to discuss the proposed changes to central city parking and the Hamilton Gardens entry fee.
Sessions have been scheduled across a range of locations and times to make them accessible to as many Hamiltonians as possible.
Council in the Community sessions will be held at the following locations:
All sessions are free, drop‑in, and open to everyone.
