Paying Rates Made Easier With New Payble Platform |
||
Hutt City Council has launched Payble, a new online platform giving ratepayers more flexibility and control over how they pay their rates.
Payble gives people control to choose how and when they pay. It is designed to make managing rates simple, clear, and better suited to household budgets.
Council’s Chief Financial Officer Jenny Livschitz says the platform puts customers first and is designed to improve the overall customer experience.
“Payble gives our community more choice and visibility. People can set up a plan that works for them - whether weekly, fortnightly or monthly - and adjust it as life changes.”
The platform enables ratepayers to:
Getting started is simple. Ratepayers can scan the QR code on their May rates notice or visit pay.huttcity.govt.nz to create an account and choose a payment option.
Using Payble is optional. All existing payment methods, including bank transfer and in-person payments, remain available.
Council encourages anyone using direct debit or automatic payments to consider switching to Payble for added flexibility and features.
“We know managing household costs can be tough. This platform gives people more control and helps them to plan in a way that suits them,” says Livschitz.
All customer information is securely stored by Payble and only authorised Payble and Council personnel with legitimate operational requirements can access the data. Payble will only request personal details that are required to manage and collect rates payments.
