Police are appealing for information after a kayak has washed ashore near Hardinge Road in Napier this morning.

At this stage, Police have no reports of any missing people that would appear to relate; however, we are wanting to confirm the kayak’s owner is safe.

If you recognise the pictured kayak or you know someone who has failed to return home after heading out on the water recently near Napier Port Beach, please contact 105 and reference event number P066323957.
