There was heavy trading on the New Zealand Futures & Options Exchange today involving 5310 futures contracts traded with a face value of NZ$2.65 billion.

The Mar-02 90 Day Bank Bill Contract settled down 3 points at 9489 (5.11%) and the June-02 90 Day Bank Bill Contract settled unchanged at 9452 (5.48%). The Sept-02 90 Day Bank Bill Contract settled up 1 point at 9416 (5.84%) and the Dec-02 90 Day Bank Bill Contract settled up 1 point at 9383 (6.17%).

The Mar-02 Three Year Government Stock Futures Contract settled up 3 points at 9379 (6.21%) and the Mar-02 Ten Year Government Stock Futures Contract settled up 3 points at 9326 (6.74%).

The Mar-02 NZSE-10 Share Index Futures Contract settled down 20 points at 913.
