Tranz Rail appoints Grant Samuel over Rail America offer

Auckland, New Zealand - Tranz Rail Holdings Limited [NZSE: TRH] today announced they have appointed Grant Samuel & Associates as independent investment advisor in respect of the proposed Rail America offer.

Grant Samuel is an Australian and New Zealand investment bank and they will provide an independent advisers report for the purposes of rule 21 of the Takeovers Code.

Tranz Rail will communicate with shareholders after receiving that independent advisers report and advice.
