Tranz Rail response to Toll Holdings offer

Auckland, New Zealand - Tranz Rail Holdings Limited {NZSE: TRH} today confirmed they had received a take-over offer from Toll Holdings.

Tranz Rail Board Chairman Wayne Walden said they were considering the offer and were seeking external valuation and advice.

"The company will communicate with shareholders once that advice has been received.

"Our key focus is looking after the best interest of the company and shareholders," Mr Walden said.
