Tranz Rail to evaluate latest move

Auckland, New Zealand - Tranz Rail Holdings Limited [NZX: TRH]

The Tranz Rail Board today said it was surprised by the terms of a new joint agreement announced this afternoon between the Government and Toll Holdings.

Chairman Wayne Walden said they will be evaluating the latest announcement overnight and will make no further comment until then.
