Takeover offer for MediaWorks will close on Monday 9 July and will not be extended

4 July 2007: HT Media Limited (HT Media) today confirmed that its offer for all of the shares and options in MediaWorks NZ Limited (MediaWorks) will close at 5.00pm on Monday 9 July 2007 and will not be extended. In order to accept this offer shareholders and optionholders must complete and return the relevant acceptance form before this time.

Approximately 78.5% of MediaWorks shareholders have already accepted the HT Media offer.
