Tauranga Communications Go World Class With Vodafone 3G
Vodafone’s launch of its 3G broadband mobile network is providing Tauranga residents and businesses with world-class communications.
Vodafone customers with 3G capable phones can now experience all the 3G services that entertain, inform and allow more effective business communication. Through the new network customers can use their mobile to watch the news and mobile TV, access the Vodafone Music Store and experience video calling.
For businesses and home users easy wireless access to internet, email and office applications direct from laptops and PC’s is now possible through the Vodem, Vodafone 3G broadband datacard or Vodafone 3G Broadband router.
Speaking at the launch event Vodafone Managing Director Russell Stanners noted the Tauranga launch was part of a massive investment in the Vodafone 3G network.
“Vodafone has committed to deliver broadband mobile services to all major cities and towns across New Zealand and has invested hundreds of millions of dollars nationwide in the development of the 3G network. We’re thrilled to extend this investment to the Tauranga community,” he said.
Graham Mearns, Vodafone Regional Manager Bay of Plenty & Waikato, said that the launch of the new service had considerable potential to positively influence Tauranga businesses.
“The launch of Vodafone 3G Broadband brings world class telecommunications to Tauranga and offers the region a range of opportunities for the digital future. Technology is an excellent way to ensure local businesses have access to world markets,” said Mearns.
Vodafone’s philosophy of helping businesses to work smarter with mobile data connectivity removes the need for customers to constantly return to the office to check emails and voicemail. With 3G, they can take their inbox with them.
