At their AGM in Auckland last week the Institute of Chartered Accountants announced their office-bearers for 2008. Graham Crombie of Dunedin has been elected President. Graham is a Partner in the Dunedin-based Chartered

Accountancy firm Polson Higgs, where he is the chief executive and oversees their audit and assurance services and business consultancy teams. Graham is currently the chair of Otago Polytechnic and South Link Health.

The Institute’s First Vice-President for 2008 is Linda Turner, who is currently Dean of the Manukau Institute of Technology Business School. She was previously at UNITEC Institute of Technology for 15 years, eight of those as HOD, Accountancy, Law and Finance.

Second Vice-President is Dinu Harry, who is one of four partners of an Auckland CBD Chartered Accountancy practice, Smith Chilcott Bertelsen Harry Ltd.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants represents nearly 30,000 members in New Zealand and overseas.
