NZ Law Offers Small Firms The Ability To Foot It With The Big Boys
www.LawFuel.co.nz - The addition of two more firms into the NZ Law national network has further strengthened the group’s ability to competitively match the large law firms in technology, information-sharing and expertise.
NZ Law announced on June 3 that two more firms, Lower Hutt’s Gillespie Young Watson and Dunedin’s Downie Stewart had brought to 56 the firms that now belong to the national grouping.
NZ Law started life in 1993, mainly to develop bulk-buying and other advantages for its mainly provincial, small practice members. The network, based in Napier today with three full time employees, developed deals to source everything from staples to software for its clients.
And as overheads have continued to climb the NZ Law network has continued to grow with around a dozen firms joining the group in the past two years alone. The alliance, which ranges from Kerikeri to Invercargill, now has a little under 200 partners in its network and about the same number of qualified solicitors. Additionally it has over 600 administrative and support staff within the group – altogether a handy client base for suppliers and others.
