Business on Front Foot
Despite the recession, a Wellington-based company is expanding their business, launching a new ezine and taking on more employees.
IN-Business Magazine has launched a new complimentary electronic magazine today (www.in-business.co.nz/ezine). The magazine itself is increasing in size by 25% from March, and the company is launching a new interactive website. The company is also expanding into themed events and assisting businesses with publishing, design and coordination of promotional campaigns. Over the last three months they have taken on four new staff with skills in design, marketing and journalism.
“With all the tightening of belts and cost-cutting going on, we thought we would do exactly the opposite,“ says editor Tim Collins. “This is a time when businesses need all the help they can get, and IN-Business does just that by providing cutting edge information, advice and opinion.”
Launched in mid 2008 the magazine has quickly built a reputation for delivering credible, insightful information to business readers with strong local connections; features have included profiles on Sir Robert Jones, Murray Mexted, Theresa Gattung, Phil O’Reilly, Ian Cassels, John Allen, Mark Blumsky and Sam Knowles.
“The feedback we get from readers is that they value the practical, inspirational and relevant business insights we provide,” says Collins. “They are reading about people they relate to and companies they know and even may do business with. That makes the stories that much more real and relevant.”
The first edition of the IN-Business ‘eZine’ will be distributed next week, subscribers will receive their copy of the fifth edition of IN-Business Magazine in late February and it will be on newsstands on March 2nd.
