Million Dollar Home Promo: Aucklanders Bank on Ticket Out of the City

It seems that many Auckland residents are banking on a $25 sales promotion to be their ‘million dollar ticket’ to a rural lifestyle.

Murray and Michelle Smith of Cambridge, New Zealand are giving away their million dollar home for just $25 as part of the promotion of a new website – www.apieceofnz.co.nz. They aim to raise just over $1 million to build a new church and community centre for Cambridge by Sunday, 31 January. With just five days to go, they have reached the $839,000 mark.

Over 87,000 New Zealanders have visited the website, with the majority of those people being residents of Auckland or its suburbs.
