Duncan Cotterill wins four times at New Zealand Law Awards

Excellence in communication with staff following the Canterbury earthquake of September 4 was a key reason why Duncan Cotterill Lawyers won the prestigious 100+ Employer of Choice Award at the New Zealand Law Awards, announced in Auckland last night.

In what was a stellar night for the national and trans Tasman law firm, Duncan Cotterill Lawyers was the most awarded firm with top honours in four categories and seconds in two others.

Duncan Cotterill’s awards included:

• Large Law Firm of the Year Award
• 100+ Employer of Choice Award
• Insurance Law Award
• Resource Management and Environment Law Award

It was also second placed in the Intellectual Property and Litigation and Dispute Resolution categories.
Raewyn Lovett, chair of Duncan Cotterill, said that while the firm has won awards in the past, this is its best performance yet, edging out other leading names from around the country.

“These awards are voted on by our clients and the fact that so many took the time to recognise our efforts and support us in these awards is something that we are very proud of.”

Lovett said the record tally reflected the growing strength of the Duncan Cotterill network across its offices in Christchurch, Nelson, Wellington, Auckland and Sydney.
