StackUP.co.nz: NZers taking the first
deal, but not always the best deal. Especially when
it comes to their mortgage.
In this age of
“customer is king”, consumers now have the ability to
really question whether or not they are getting the best
deal. Up until now, there has been the will but not really
the way.
StackUP.co.nz will put NZ consumers back in the driver’s seat; by giving them the ability to compare hundreds of products and services, without all of the running around.
The website compares mortgages, credit cards, personal loans, term deposits and even daily deals, all in one place. This information could save NZ consumers hundreds or even thousands of dollars a year.
The concept behind StackUP.co.nz came from the multi-billion dollar comparison website industry in the UK. In the UK these websites have helped lead to lower prices as companies have had to provide more competitive deals or face losing customers to a rival.
Founder of StackUp.co.nz, Jyl Lind, says StackUP.co.nz will put the power back into the consumers hands.
“What we’re focused on is making sure consumers get the most out of their money in these uncertain economic times”.
“More often than not, customers are forced to take the first deal because they are too embarrassed or simply don’t know how to shop around when it comes to banks.”
“Asking for money is probably one of the most intimidating things someone can do in their lives” says Ms Lind
“Its amazing how many people don’t realise that they can shop around while on a floating rate, or that low interest credit cards even exist. Its this type of information we want New Zealanders to know about.”
The financial services market in NZ is
relatively non-competitive – deals are far and few between
and the only difference between them is the colour of their
logos. With billion of dollars in yearly profits, why would
banks change? StackUP.co.nz
will provide the shake
up needed to getting better deals for all NZ
consumers.
