ONE News will remain on-air for the rest of the afternoon to bring viewers LIVE and UNINTERRUPTED coverage of the massive quake that hit Christchurch just before 1pm this afternoon.

The TVNZ newsroom in Christchurch has been quite seriously damaged but all staff were evacuated safely. The building right beside our newsroom has completely collapsed.
