June can be a pretty uneventful month by way of payments statistics, but this month has thrown up a few interesting events so this edition of the MasterCard Papers – the 52nd– sees us take a look at the Electronic Transactions series from Statistics NZ and what these numbers show in terms of a trend shift away from cash.
