Webstock Founders Target Multi-Million Dollar Event
Ticketing Market
The founders of iconic Wellington tech conference Webstock have their sights set on a slice of the $439 million spent annually on domestic corporate events.
Lil Regie, an online event ticketing and management tool, officially launches this week after successfully handling events run by Xero, Realestate.co.nz and Trade Me, among others.
Lil Regie founders, Mike Brown and Natasha Lampard, had become frustrated with clunky, poorly-designed registration systems while managing Webstock, an event that draws 800+ local and international attendees each year. They teamed up with a group of talented web specialists, including ex-Trade Me lead designer Tim James, to build a better system.
“Our experience in running Webstock since
2006 has given us a good understanding of what’s required
from a registration system,” says Mike Brown. “While
other online ticketing sites exist, Lil Regie is more
flexible and user friendly, and has the functionality needed
to manage events large and
small.”
