Opus Signs Three-Year Agreement with AT&T for Networking Services
New agreement will see AT&T provide global virtual private network for leading New Zealand-based multi-disciplinary infrastructure consultancy company
Auckland, June 19, 2013 – Opus International Consultants, New Zealand’s leading asset management and infrastructure consulting business, has signed a three-year agreement with AT&T* for global networking services that will connect its 2,500 employees at 76 offices in five countries under one virtual roof.
Opus, which has been expanding steadily, seeks to unify its operations using AT&T virtual private networking services across its global business. Phase one of the managed network rollout, connecting staff at 58 Opus offices across New Zealand and the United Kingdom was completed in early 2013.
The second phase, which will unite 32 offices in Canada, Australia and the US is underway and is expected to be completed in July 2013. Opus also uses AT&T’s security services to protect its clients’ data, and network acceleration technology for faster and more reliable internet access.
“We want to be more effective, agile and responsive in the changing business environment, and turned to AT&T to help us do that with a unified global network for communications,” said Dr David Prentice, Opus’ Chief Executive.
Going forward, Opus will be able to roll out new applications and services on a stable and highly secure platform. The company sees the scale of AT&T’s global network as a major benefit when considering future acquisitions – it can rely on AT&T to connect new offices almost anywhere in the world.
