Emerson Network Power Unveils Automatic Transfer Capability

Emerson Network Power Unveils Automatic Transfer Capability with the Liebert® LTS

Device offers power redundancy and one-way power supply

Sydney, Australia [June 20, 2013] – Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE:EMR) and a global leader in maximizing availability, capacity and efficiency of critical infrastructure, unveiled today the Liebert® LTS, an intelligent, reliable and swift automatic “plug and play” power transfer device. Ideal for computer equipment rooms, internet data centres, telecom and financial data centres, the Liebert LTS provides fast transfers between two independent, synchronous AC power sources. This ensures continued provision of AC power to critical equipment, despite irregularities in either of the two AC input power sources.

The transfer is accomplished typically within six milliseconds and is “invisible” to sensitive electronic equipment. Downtime is eliminated during the transfer, as the device automatically regulates transfer from the failing power source, to the functional one.

The device is designed for reliability, with “break-before-make” switching that prevents the independent power sources from connecting, even under faulted conditions. Intelligent diagnostics and transfer tests detect potential switch failures before a problem becomes critical, and a manual transfer option allows the operator to switch power sources at their own convenience, for scheduled source shutdowns or maintenance. The Liebert LTS series is easily installed by plugging it in to a power source, as it comes with standard IEC input and output connections.

The Liebert LTS comes in 10 amp (10A) and 16 amp (16A) configuration and is available now in Australia,New Zealand and the rest of Asia.
