NZ’s leading business survey kicks off

Privately owned businesses throughout New Zealand are being invited to have their say on the issues affecting them in the country’s most in-depth business survey.

ANZ Bank this week launched its annual Privately Owned Business Barometer, which provides critical insights into this key sector of the New Zealand economy.

Now in its seventh year, the two-week online survey targets businesses of all sizes, from all sectors and all parts of the country.

“Privately owned businesses are a vital part of New Zealand communities, and the economy. The Privately Owned Business Barometer provides insights and information on the issues affecting businesses, how they are performing, and their views on the challenges ahead,” said Graham Turley, ANZ’s Managing Director Commercial & Agri.

“Last year around 5,000 business owners took part in the survey and the results have been widely used, not only by the businesses involved, but also by organisations working with the private sector and key decision-makers in government.”

The online survey is conducted by market research company, Ipsos, on ANZ’s behalf. Participants can access the survey at http://tinyurl.com/ANZPOBB-Public and can choose to submit their responses anonymously.

Those who complete the survey by 18 September 2013 will receive a copy of the Barometer findings, plus the chance to win one of two cash prizes worth $3,000 each to use towards training or professional development.

The results will be published in mid-November.
