NZ’s biggest project crowdfunding campaign launches on PledgeMe

Sommet Sports is launching New Zealand’s biggest project crowdfunding campaign at 6 PM today on PledgeMe.

“The ambitious target of raising $300,000, the biggest ever New Zealand focussed crowdfunding project, will allow Sommet to resurrect the internet-based sport channel,” PledgeMe CEO Anna Guenther said today.

“PledgeMe is proud to be hosting this campaign and are working to make it a success so all those avid Kiwi sports fans can get their fix.”

At the time it went off air, Sommet had over 4 percent of New Zealand’s population watching daily with a monthly viewing audience of over 1.1 million.

“With a viewership like that, Sommet has a huge crowd to help support them,” Ms Gunether said.

“Andrew and the team are working hard to bring Sommet back to screens, and the feedback when they shut down was an overwhelming call to bring it back.”

On the back of this support Sommet is aiming even higher than the minimum $300,000 hoping to raise more so they can expand their services.

“Sommet have some great rewards lined up including subscriptions and swag,” Ms Guenther said.

“We can’t wait to see Sommet’s crowd strike back!”
