Russell McVeagh wins M&A Deal of the Year

The Australasian Law Awards were held in Sydney last week and Russell McVeagh was recognised as part of the team advising on the 2015 M&A Deal of the Year.

Westfield Group's demerger and subsequent merger with Westfield Retail Trust picked up the award over four other finalists. Russell McVeagh assisted the global shopping centre operator on all aspects of the financing arrangements associated with this transaction.

M&A Deal is an Australasian-wide category, and Russell McVeagh was the only New Zealand firm to win in an Australasian deal category.

The Law Awards bring together industry leaders across both New Zealand and Australia, and celebrate excellence within the legal professions.
