Summary
Data released today by the Real Estate Institute of NZ (“REINZ”) shows there were 20 fewer farm sales (-4.9%) for the three months ended August 2015 than for the three months ended August 2014. Overall, there were 387 farm sales in the three months ended August 2015, compared to 433 farm sales for the three months ended July 2015 (-10.6%), and 407 farm sales for the three months ended August 2014. 1,727 farms were sold in the year to August 2015, 10.0% fewer than were sold in the year to August 2014.
