NexTransfer raises $1 million to accelerate growth
Auckland, 28 August 2017 - Transfercar, the smart Kiwi operated platform that matches those in need of a free rental car with rental car companies that need to reposition their fleet, has just completed a $1 million dollar capital raise.
It’s been a busy time for the company who, last year, launched a new business utilising the same platform concept to create Transfervans; this is an on-demand service that allows customers in Auckland or Sydney to arrange time-specific delivery of bulky items. The platform has proven very popular with customers using the service to move all sorts of awkward items and even to move house. Prices start from as little as $40 and the service is provided with one or more personnel to facilitate moving the items, no matter where they are located. This round of financing will allow the two companies to accelerate their international expansion plans, and to acquire more staff.
CEO Brian Karlson said “We are really looking forward to this next phase of our development. We now employ 15 people, and have revenues in excess of $1.4 million. This raise allows us to propel our two companies forward internationally”.
Flying Kiwi Angels have been the lead investors in this round which funds NexTransfer, the holding company that owns both Transfercar and Transfervans. James Hoseason, a founder member of NZ Group Flying Kiwi Angels and new board director at NexTransfer gave this view on their involvement : “Both Transfercar and Transfervans have demonstrated a fantastic level of market traction and genuine customer-demand; couple that with very solid growth and a smart, motivated team and this looks like another winning Kiwi company!”
