Live in the Lounge

Sandwiches, Wellington’s own Lounge and Club of multi-flavoured entertainment, is proud to bring to you a fresh concept in Live Music as a drum roll into your weekend. The ‘Live in the Lounge’ series will showcase emerging talent on stage alongside some of New Zealand’s most established live artists. Take a seat at the lounge tables and couches, or perch up next to the bar and later on kick your shoes off on the club floor.

Opening night features Hikoikoi Reserve [LIVE Wellington band with their hedonistic mix of Soul, Dub, Reggae and Funk]. Followed by DJ Daimon [aka The Nomad] with MC Ra Stone and guests. Solid support from DJs Kava and Charlie Diamonds [Nu School, Hip Hop, Dub Fusion Mash-up] $10 DOOR CHARGE – LIVE SHOW STARTS 11PM

Shady Disco meets Passion Smash

Mike Ross and Nick Wilson's Shady Disco goes head to head with The Passion Smash at Sandwiches

After buck-wild gigs at Good Luck Bar and a crash hot mix CD, Mike Ross and Nick Wilson's Shady Disco take on The Passion Smash, the notorious Matterhorn club night of Barnaby Weir (front man of The black Seeds, Flash Harry and Fly My Prettys), Duke Willis and random guests. One thing’s for certain and that’s that the dance-floor will be the winner on the day. Support from Charlie Diamonds., $10 on the door with thanks to Radio Active, Rex Royale, Iko Iko.
