An Inconvenient Truth. Al
Gore 2006
Academy Award nomination 2007.
Eloquently
moving from the science of global warming to a bio-pic on
former vice president and environmentalist Al Gore, this is
a film that could be seen by many as the most important film
of 2006. Rather than creating a doomsday message, the film
tries to act as a rallying cry and to illustrate the
environmental message in clear and concise way. This is
must-see cinema and also shows the power of film to educate
and bring an important message to as many people as
possible. This is seriously for all ages, a powerful and
important film.

Ice Age 2
2006, Ray
Romano, John Leguizamo
Following on from the hugely
popular original, welcome back Manny, Sid and Diego for more
adventures in Ice Age 2. As our film begins we find the
original trio in their idyllic paradise, but with the
discovery of impending disaster in the form of a melting ice
wall the boys have to get moving, and quick. Great voice
acting from the original cast, along with the addition of
Queen Latifah and some amazing animation means a film for
the family that adults are also bound to enjoy.

Devil Wears Prada
2006, Meryl Streep, Anne
Hathaway
Like a Cosmopolitan article come to life The
Devil Wears Prada is full of fabulous clothes, girl power
and cute guys. Anne Hathaway plays Andy Sachs, a naive
journalism student intent on making her mark in publishing
in New York. However when she starts off as the P.A to
bitchy fashion editor Meryl Streep she learns that there's a
lot more to moving up the food chain in journalism than just
chewing people up and spitting them out. With some great,
over the top performances from Streep (she's been nominated
for a best actress Oscar for her role here!) and Stanley
Tucci this is a must see for a girls' night out!
The Movie starts when the sun goes down, approximately 9pm .
