Gregor Kregar: ARTIST TALK

Hear first hand from Gregor Kregar, as he discusses his live sculptural installation, 'Matthew 12:12'. The project involves twelve live sheep dressed in colourful body suits. They are enclosed in a white picket fence outside City Gallery from Friday 30 March until Sunday 1 April. Kregar will talk about the evolution of the 'Matthew 12:12' project and the ideas behind it, and well as his broader practice. A FREE Event.
The Dead C

The City Gallery Wellington is proud to present The Dead C. These legendary/ infrequently seen noise-rock heroes will perform in the gallery, within the midst of Telecom Prospect 2007: New Art New Zealand, where the Dead C’s Michael Morley is exhibiting paintings. Support from local band Thought Creature.

CONTEMPORARY ABSTRACTION PANEL DISCUSSION

The first of two dynamic discussions exploring the intersecting themes that shape Telecom Prospect 2007; Exhibition curator Heather Galbraith will chair this panel as it considers the relevance of abstraction to contemporary New Zealand art, including how the concept is approached by different practitioners. Panelists: Judy Millar, Simon Morris, Michael Morley and Rohan Wealleans. A FREE event.
