Broken Soul Presents Samurai Music Featuring GEOFF PRESHA (AK)

Broken Soul returns to Sandwiches for an excursion to the more soulful and musical side of drum and bass music. This time we celebrate the launch of NZ dnb label Samurai Music with special guest, one of the pioneers of drum and bass in this country, Geoff Presha.

Presha has been a long-time supporter of local producer / DJ talent through regular promoting, DJing, radio shows and his many global contacts in the drum and bass industry. Of particular note was his role in the artist development and management of local and international stars, State Of Mind.

2007 may not be the most buoyant time for drum and bass music sales, and vinyl in particular, but it is during times such as these that Presha feels the best music usually surfaces. So it is with this notion and close ties with the cream of New Zealand’s (and indeed the world’s) production talent that the label Samurai Music has been created.

Samurai Music will feature occasional international guest releases; the main criteria being quality music from those with a close affinity to the New Zealand scene or vibe. The first of these international releases will be from New Zealand favourite, Tom Withers aka Klute.
