Internationally renowned painter Jason "Ponzi" Ponzuric has accepted an artist residency at Rongo Backpackers & Gallery in Karamea, New Zealand from Feb. 24 to March 27, 2009.

Ponzi specialises in painting live at music gigs and will be performing in Karamea and conducting art classes for residents and visitors during his tenure.

Ponzi is a great guy, a gifted artist and we are thrilled to have him as our resident artist.

2000-5 Ponzi has thus far has completed 9 one man shows and 10 large scale group exhibitions in many parts of Japan and America as well as hundreds of live performances

2006-Group Exhibtion at Tokyo Metropolitan art museumin Ueno displaying 47 paintings

2007-Ueda Joint Jazz Festival live painting main stage started a new live event "WISH"

2007-8- Three one man exhibitions in Shibuya and Aoyama respectively and one man show at Saraba gallery Sangenjaya.

2008- Art director/performer for "Re-Birth" a regular event in Roppongi Midtown A-971 as well as many other projects

2009-Artist residency: LivinginPeace Project, Karamea, NEW ZEALAND.
