The Smart Dogs are players from the Black Seeds and members of celebrated Wellington supergroup The Eggs (whose alumni include Fat Freddies Drop, Olmecha Supreme, Twinset and Rhombus).

Throw James Brown and Nigerian afro-beat legend Fela Kuti into a room together and what you get is Afro-Funk, a style of music that spread like a viral dance-floor infection through the clubs of Africa in the 70’s. Now it’s here!
