After a glittering career in menswear, Fraser Hooper gave it all up to follow the red nose. Twenty years, on his unique brand of award-winning comedy has delighted thousands of audiences across the globe. From sell-out shows in the UK, to appearances at nearly every major street festival in Europe, Canada and Australasia, Fraser has established a huge legion of fans.

Now, he is bringing his contemporary clown stylings to Wellington. In an intensive two-day workshop this November, ordinary Wellingtonians can experience the infectious joy of clowning under his experienced tuition.

As a much sought-after tutor, Hooper has taught at Theatre and Clown festivals worldwide and was, for over twelve years, the resident clown tutor at Circus Space, London. “My style is gentle but direct and I especially like helping students create their own comic routines” says Fraser. “I believe clowning has something in it for everyone, because essentially it’s a celebration of people and a fabulous way to exercise your funny bones and enjoy playing again.”
