Where The Shoot Hits The Fans
The registration deadline for this years V48HOURS Furious Filmmaking Competition is closing in two weeks.
All participants (and even those not entering) are encouraged to warm-up and test their equipment with the annual V48SECONDS [http://www.vrepublic.co.nz/48-seconds/] competition which offers killer prizes (Panasonic HD camcorders & Plasmas, Apple MacBook Pro & more) and lots of fun as people recreate famous movie scenes using V cans or bottles. Registrations [http://www.v48hours.co.nz/2011/register/register_form.php] for the main competition are still open and teams have been piling in. This year all Christchurch Teams have free registration and it looks like it will be the biggest year ever in Christchurch with hopefully one hundred teams competing at the start line.
This year schools are being offered a two-for-one deal on registration. Media Educators/Teachers of New Zealand can pay to register one school team and get another for free.
