Te Ara translates its iwi entries into te reo Māori

Aotearoa has many different iwi (tribes) and each is represented in Te Ara (New Zealand’s online encyclopedia). Interesting facts, figures and stories in each iwi entry create an individual biography which is fully translated into te reo Māori.

Te Ara provides a wealth of information to New Zealanders; each day topical information is promoted on the site, and new content is added regularly to the constantly expanding encyclopedia.
