Sky Tower goes black for our boys

Having heralded each of the 20 nations represented at the Rugby World Cup by matching the lights of the Sky Tower to the colours of these countries' flags, this Thursday, on the eve of kick-off, the Sky Tower will go black in support of the All Blacks.

The very uncommon black out of the Sky Tower is SKYCITY's way of wishing the team luck as they head into their first game on Friday night with Tonga.

For all of the pool matches, the Sky Tower will be blue and green to celebrate the tournament but will be black and white on the days the All Blacks play as a symbol of the nation's support.

Also over the World Cup period the Sky Tower bus will run extended services on the nights of the 13 Auckland evening matches. On these nights the bus will run an extra service from 5pm till 10pm on its usual route without the stop at the Auckland Museum. For more details check out:
