Supporting the NZ Fringe Festival
2012
In tough economic times we’d like to
take a moment to thank our amazing ongoing and new funders
and sponsors for the NZ Fringe Festival 2012!
We are proud to be supported once again by our core funders Wellington City Council and Creative New Zealand, long time supporters Lion Foundation and Pelorus Trust, and new funders Wellington Community Trust.
“The outstanding on-going support that Fringe receives from the Wellington City Council really makes all the difference to the viability of our festival, allowing us to focus on creating a fantastic event for Wellington rather than constantly scrambling for funds.” Says Emma Giesen, Manager of the Creative Capital Arts Trust.
Back with us in 2012 are design gurus Creature - our long-standing supporters and the creators of the entire look of the Fringe. Since 2005 Creature has been creating a strong visual signature for Fringe, which is fresh each year, and their sponsorship has allowed Fringe to develop a brand and level of marketing presence that would not normally be available to a not-for-profit community organisation such as ours.
Media Partners for 2012 include Radio Active 88.6FM and the Capital Times. The Creative Capital Arts Trust has formed a new partnership with the Capital Times, who will be developing the Fringe website under their umbrella. The Capital Times home page will have a direct link through a large banner to the Fringe pages. This is a great development for Fringe as it allows us a direct link with the Capital Times faithful readership of over 24,000 visitors each month and opens up an exciting large new audience for the Fringe.
Also new for 2012 is a partnership with Big Image Print who will be printing our programmes and posters (hitting the streets 26 Jan 2012). And back with us are Resene paints – sponsoring a very exciting Fringe project for 2012 – watch out for the big “F” in your streets during the festival!
The NZ Fringe Festival and the Creative Capital Arts Trust are dedicated to bringing new, innovative and exciting arts to the Cultural Capital – we sincerely thank our funders and sponsors for believing in us and supporting us in the adventure.
The Fringe festival programme will be
launched on January 26th. For more info check out www.fringe.co.nz
