Being a Producer – What Does it Take?

Being a Producer – What Does it Take?

/EVENT: 31 MARCH 2012

A great producer needs the tenacity to drive a project from conception through to delivery to an audience. The role is multifaceted: a juggle between financing, creative direction and organisation. How do you get a film project off the ground and then protect the vision while also keeping on top of the day to day?

Producer and current NZFC Short Film Exec, Lisa Chatfield (Scarfies) talks to Tui Ruwhiu (Tauihu Films), Alex Cole-Baker (The Most Fun You Can Have Dying) and Aaron Watson (Go the Dogs) about their journeys to becoming a producer and how they carry a project from script to screen.

Dunedin Festival of Film and Television Craft, Saturday 31st March, 4-5pm, $5 Koha Appreciated
