Happy Yeaster

ppy Yeaster

G’day Art Lovers,
Hope all is going well for you this Easter Break,
or should I say Yeaster Break!? (all will become apparent!).

As always been a hectic few months here, having just finished up with the Whanganui Artists Open Studios, which as always was a great success. Top marks to the organisers (especially Sue Frykberg), and from all this we have a couple of NEW ARTISTS to introduce to the Yellow Church.. First up is LOUISE HERLIHY who by her own admission is no spring chicken, and only seriously took up the paintbrush to create colourful acrylic landscapes in the last couple of years, but this work is truly inspiring! Next up is JANE TOY who really has captured a fresh corner of the art world, with her unique mixed media works, all beautifully framed to create truly classy pieces of artwork. Both worth a trip to the gallery on their own! And, amazing how busy the Gallery has been over the last few weeks, since summer finally arrived (in mid Autumn!), but all good.

Well the Big News of late has been “MARMAGEDDON” and the drought of Marmite now troubling the nation. I did hear of someone (who will remain nameless) resorting to eating some stuff from Aussie called Vegemite? Seems rather odd to me, but these are desperate times, and it seems some folks will go to any lengths to get there daily fix of black breakfast yeast spread! With all the hysteria you mite want to squizz your eyes over this : double click next : http://www.trademe.co..nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=464127932

Ok well enjoy the rest of the break, and Happy Yeaster!
