Team Optiv101 Keeping Match Fit
Space Gallery, at 64 Taupo Quay, Whanganui, is the venue for a hit out of Team Optiv101.
Optiv101 Fine Arts and Multimedia Studios has all of its eleven artists coming of the bench for this exhibition, with a squad of experienced veterans and rookie debutants. Company manager Aaron Potaka is pleased with the exhibition and bringing new artists into the fold. “The company prides itself on making a contribution to contemporary art in New Zealand”, he said, “and with the Team Optiv101 Exhibition, we are showing how we do our thing. It is great that our rookies have made an impact, and puts them in a good headspace for the next time they go into play.”
Potaka says Optiv101’s studio artists are valuable assets to the company, with disciplines ranging from painting and printmaking to photography, drawing, sculpture, glass production and digital media. Rookies Eli Lamont, Brett Leurink and Mereana Pari are proving themselves well with their works, including opening night sales.
The other studio artists keeping match fit are Esther Topfer, Neil Buddle, Chris Te Tua, Phil Orr, Hamish Webster, Richard Chan, Stuart Willan, and Potaka. Thanks to supporters Mainstreet Art & Framing, Mickey’s Superliquor and Space Gallery.
The Team Optiv101 Exhibition closes Friday, 5 October.
