Comedy Monthly: October 25 at The Office from 7pm

Newtown’s newest entertainment night, Comedy Monthly, kicks into another gear with a fantastic line up of comedians, including an international act.
Marty Bright is an up and coming comedian based in Sydney and recently performed in the hit Sydney Fringe Festival show ‘Me Me Me!’.

“ I'm very excited about this line up,” says Ben Caldwell, the show’s producer. “ I've seen some of Marty’s stuff online and it’s really refreshing. I think the audience will like his style, it's very energetic”

The show also features established Wellington acts Brad Zimmerman, Fergus Aitken and Vitale Joseph, as well as two rookies, Nik Bruce-Smith and Eliza Pennell. With resident MC, Jerome Chandrahasen away, Ants Heath will take over the MC duties.

“We have some great local talent right now and it’s fantastic that we are able to showcase these acts on a more regular basis. And the venue is great for comedy. It has a New York comedy club look with the brick walls and basement location. The performers we’ve had so far have loved it.”

The show is approximately two hours long and students who bring their ID will also receive a free pint of beer. Thursday nights also feature The Office’s $15 super jug deal on their Monteith’s range.
