Artist gets medal from France

Augustus Firestone has received from the Societe Academique Fondee En 1915 Paris France Arts-Sciences-Lettres an Honorary Diploma and Medal for his Art and the Art movement based on painted sculpture call Finialism.

Augustus Firestone said "I would like to give a special thank you to sculptor Aaron Frater Co-founder of the Art movement for his continuous encouragement and the 27 other members from around the world. I also couldn’t have done it without the support of my wife, family and friends. Who have been instrumental in me continuing to follow my passion. My mum passed away a few years ago and wished she could have seen this.

I would also like to point out that I still see this as being a New Zealand art movement and hope that one day it will be recognised as such.”
