Wellington – 100 authors from around the world have come together to write 100 books in just 40 hours. Their work will be revealed in the world's first ever mass social book launch.

When Getrude Matshe wrote and published her second book in 40 hours all her friends started asking her how she did it so she started coaching people in New Zealand and Australia. Her first book “Born on the Continent – Ubuntu” took her 18 years to write, the subsequent three hard copies and 10 Ebooks were all written and published on Amazon and Kindle in 40 hours. Now she is teaching other people to do the same.

Additionally, Getrude interviewed all participants, in a Reality TV style interviews, which can be viewed at http://www.youtube.com/writeabookin40hours

In order to leverage the large number of authors working together on the project, marketing agency AccuraCast devised a strategy to jointly promote all the works via a first of its kind social book launch, which includes promotion of their interview footage.

According to Getrude Matshe, “We’ve invented a whole new way to sell books. This is no longer about passive posters and book reviews. These authors are real people, with real experiences and real knowledge to share. YouTube video allows them to share their stories with the world, in a real, personal way”
