ABOUT GOING GLOBAL MUSIC SUMMIT 2013:

Going Global Music Summit 2013 is a 3-day showcase of new music featuring national artists, occurring in September (5th– 9th September) alongside the Going Global Music Summit industry seminars. The Summit takes place in Wellington (Sept 5th), Auckland (Sept 7th) and Christchurch (Sept 9th).

Going Global Music Summit 2013 provides musicians, producers, composers, labels, promoters, industry professionals and fans a chance to perform, discuss, learn, teach, interact and argue in front of an audience of like-minded peers in an environment that encourages the global exchange of ideas, techniques and trends.

In 2013 Going Global Music Summit will present an exciting schedule of live music events alongside a daytime program of panels, presentations, workshops and discussions. The focus is on new music and as such the live music showcases aim to reflect originality in contemporary live music practice.

If you’re an artist or band, label, promoter or collective who would like to be part of the LIVE MUSIC COMPONENT of Going Global Music Summit 2013, you can apply online now via www.goingglobal.co.nz

“…a real bonus for our local music community” – Murray Cammick, Rip It Up (NZ)

“Going Global was a top-notch experience, from both a professional and personal standpoint. The other delegates were absolutely spectacular, offering not just a substantive look into various facets of the industry, but also the opportunity to forge business relationships and friendships I'll carry throughout the rest of my life. The conference was extremely well-organized, right down to the evening showcases, which were a perfect representation of the wide range of exceptional talent coming out of this beautiful, energetic, and creative country. In fact, I'm now working with two artists who performed during last year's showcases - Mel Parsons and Tom Lark!” – Shawnté Salabert, VP Creative – Sugaroo! Music & Licensing for Film, TV and Advertising (USA)
