Time to shine for arts and cultural students

Entries are now being accepted for this year’s Arts & Cultural Awards, which recognise excellence in all areas of the arts, from literature, music, craft and drama to facilitation and the visual arts.

“Winning one of these awards is a great addition to any CV,” says Bettina Gohl Student City co-ordinator. “Winners will also receive a small financial reward and a certificate. Students work hard all year and these awards give them a chance to showcase their skills and be rewarded for their talents.”

The awards are open to students at Massey University, UCOL, Te Wānanga o Aotearoa, International Pacific College or any secondary school in Palmerston North or Feilding.

A panel of neutral judges with professional backgrounds will review all the applications, which must be entered before 9 September. The awards night will be on 9 October in the Palmerston North Convention Centre. The nomination form is available on www.studentcity.co.nz
