Your Vision on Display

Exhibit: Your Vision on Display is the hair show set to revolutionize the world of hair dressing as we know it. With the coveted opening night of New Zealand Fashion Week alloted to Exhibit, participating salons have a lot to live up to.

Curated as a hair show by hairdressers – for hairdressers, Exhibit is providing a platform for stylists to come together to showcase and celebrate what they do best: hair.

On Monday 24th August, each participating salon will be given five minutes to put on an elaborate display of what inspires and drives them as a collective.
With hairdressing heavyweights such as, D&M Hair Design, Fabrik, Ryder, Servilles and Toni & Guy High Street participating and sponsorship from Davines, Flossie, Kevin Murphy, Oribe, Premier, R+Co and Servilles Academy, the result promises to be something truly spectacular.

The show is headed by hair veterants Andrea and Stephen Cockle. Both with extensive backgrounds in the hairdressing sector – Stephen as a stylist and Andrea on the management side, the pair fell in love with hairdressing and each other in the late ‘90s.
After spending some time in London they returned to New Zealand only to find that the industry was missing something that London had – a forum for hairdressers to come
together and explore their creativity with hair freely.

“When we came home we found it really disheartening that the industry had become so fragmented,” said Andrea. “Only the salons with strong brand alignment were given the opportunities to present – while smaller salons carry so much unrecognized talent without the platform to prove themselves.”

To fill that gap, Stephen and Andrea created Exhibit – a show where hairdressers are given a unique opportunity to explore the non-quintessential elements of the creative art of hair,
to inspire and to be inspired, to get new ideas and to be enlightened in a whole new way.

Exhibit will open New Zealand Fashion Week on Monday 24th August at 7.30pm.
