More than a Thousand Motorcycle Riders Set to Join the Thunder Run

WHAT: This Friday and Saturday motorcycle riders from around New Zealand will be rolling in to Paihia in the Bay of Islands for the annual Harley-Davidson Iron Run, New Zealand’s biggest motorcycle festival.

The highlight of the event, the renowned Thunder Run, will see more than a thousand participants ride in convoy and experience some of the best motorcycling terrain the Northland has to offer.

The two days of festivities will also enable motorcycle enthusiasts and families alike to enjoy a variety of other complimentary entertainment available including:

· Demo rides and educational sessions

· Show & Shine - an exhibition of new, vintage and customised Harley-Davidson motorcycles

· Live music from local artists

· An art and craft market

· A delicious food and drinks offering

WHEN: Thunder Run Saturday March 12, 2016 - 10:00am (for a 10:30am departure)

MEETING POINT: Car Park, Williams Road, Paihia, New Zealand

OTHER: Media are invited to join the Iron Run convoy and enjoy complimentary demo rides. There will be opportunities to interview both Nigel Keough and Garry Luxmoore.
