Tour Announcement: DJ PIERRE - The Story of Acid House - Debut New Zealand Appearance

DJ / Producer DJ PIERRE, one third of seminal Chicago House group PHUTURE and credited with being responsible for the birth of acid house makes his debut New Zealand appearance this July at Auckland’s, Neck of the Woods.

Whether recording as PHUTURE, DJ PIERRE, PIERRE’S PFANTASY CLUB (with Felix da Housecat) or as part of his WILDPITCH project for legendary New York house label STRICTLY RHYTHM, Pierre is nothing short of an electronic music pioneer.

This tour, entitled THE STORY OF ACID HOUSE, promises to revisit Chicago in the 1980’s where PHUTURE’S 1987’s smash hit ‘ACID TRACKS’ was regularly heard being played by RON HARDY or FRANKIE KNUCKLES as the sound we know as house music, was born.

In conjunction with Roland and The Rockshop, DJ PIERRE will also be giving a product lecture and demonstration with the Roland Aira systems as well as talking about the history of acid house.
