Shift Into Neutral Exhibition Premieres At Turua Gallery |
||
Turua Gallery is proud to present “Shift into Neutral”, opening at 5pm on Friday, 10 October. This curated collection celebrates the subtle beauty found in details—spaces and artworks that are visually calm and restful, yet rich with interest.
Selected for their masterful attention to detail, the participating artists explore how minimalism and layering can transform a neutral palette. The exhibition highlights the play of light and dark, shadows, and texture, offering works that are both understated and striking.
“Perfect for any home or workspace, this collection includes large original paintings celebrating abstract minimalism, woven crosses on corrugated iron, ceramics, wood and recycled beehive sculptures, and textural paintings,” says Liss Wallace, Turua Gallery Owner. “Sometimes the beauty is in the simplicity.”
“Working within the confines of a neutral palette creates space for stillness; it strips away excess and draws us closer to the essence of form, texture, and emotion.” States artist Michelle Wilkin.
Participating artists:
Bec
Robertson, Cam Munroe, Claudia Aalderink, Gilly Sheffield,
Jamie Adamson, Michelle Huizinga, and Michelle
Wilkin.
